Doodale Cottage 2.06

Completed in 2014, Doodale Cottage is a spacious one bedroomed grade II listed converted stone barn. Located on a small working farm yet within easy walking distance of 2 pubs serving good Yorkshire food, Doodale Cottage has been awarded 4 stars with a gold accolade as part of the VisitEngland National Quality Assessment Scheme. The Owners, Roger and Sally, live in the farmhouse next door and enjoy sharing their local knowledge with their guests, whether it be to recommend walks, restaurants, days out, places to visit or give a guided tour of the farm. The cottage has WiFi and benefits from underfloor heating in addition to a wood burning stove.

Entrance to the cottage is by the back door which opens into the well equipped fitted kitchen with modern appliances including a full sized dishwasher, microwave and large fridge freezer. A separate utility room houses a downstairs toilet and washer dryer. The kitchen and dining area, with seating for 6, are separated from the living area by a central wood burning stove.

The comfortable living area has a leather sofa, 2 wing back chairs, TV, speakers that can be plugged into most mobile phones, CD player with a selection of CDs and a selection of games, local maps and books.

The first floor is reached by an oak staircase from the living area. The upstairs has a glass balcony, a king and single bed, to give flexibility in sleeping arrangements, and a shower room. Linen and towels are included in the rental costs.

Outside there is off road parking for up to 2 cars and a small garden with table and bench seats.

For people wishing to explore further, the farm track is a pleasant walk and usually our fold of pedigree Highland Cattle can be seen.
