The Dog Aid Society of Scotland is a small dog Charity based in Edinburgh. Founded in 1956, DASS re-home all breeds of dogs through a home from home basis all over Scotland. All dogs are neutered, vaccinated and micro chipped. We support older homeless dogs by providing assistance for vet bills in the dogs new home to give the them a fair chance of finding the right home. DASS conducts home visits to make sure all of the dogs go to loving homes. As the dog stays with their current owner until a new home is found, the dog does not need to go into kennels which many find very stressful.

DASS also provides financial assistance to dog owners on low incomes with the cost of vet bills and neutering. The neutering scheme gives owners a £50 voucher towards the cost of having the dog neutered at a private vet, this helps promote responsible dog ownership.

The Society is run solely from donations and legacies. Leaving a legacy or giving a donation to the Society will help us ensure more dogs around Scotland are in loving homes and get the veterinary treatment they require.
