Here at Cross Green Farm the Kennels and Cattery are open for viewing any time during the opening hours without an appointment or prior notice. We feel that it is very important for you to see where your pet will be staying. Our advice is that if you can’t view the facilities don’t book with the establishment.

At the beginning of 2015 we added to our facilities a brand new special care unit with under floor heating. The aim of this facility is to provide intense, individual care for our elderly and infirm guests. This has proved to be a very popular section at Cross Green Farm due to the fact that just like us our guests aren’t getting any younger and have special needs. Due to its popularity it is imperative that you inform us very early in writing of all your dogs’ special requirements if you wish to use this facility.

At Cross Green Farm we understand how upsetting it can be leaving your pet when they are always with you as part of the family, hence the idea behind our “Short Term Stay” – allowing pets and owners to become more accustomed to being apart occasionally. This will reduce and prevent any upset, stress or worry in the future for pets and owners alike.
“Short Term Stays” for two days are available all year round except for main holiday weeks and Bank Holiday weekends.

FOR THE DOGS

We walk all dogs daily unless otherwise instructed by their owners. We also have a securely fenced play area where we are able to individually exercise your dog, off the lead, in an extremely safe environment.
We personally spend a great deal of time with all pets at Cross Green Farm. Regular playtime is very important, not just for exercise but to build up a trusting relationship and to give each pet something to look forward to at different intervals throughout the day.
We feed what you feed your dog and endeavour to stock all major brands of dog food subject to the availability of the product from our supplier. For your dogs’ comfort we provide plastic beds and thermal fleeces and you are welcome to bring any favourite toys or treats.
We offer indoor insulated kennels with separate outdoor exercise area. Alternatively we provide centrally heated kennels which are available at no extra cost. Our Special Care Unit with under floor is also available (please specify if you have a preference when booking). All kennels have piped classical music 24 hours a day and because we are set in 20 acres of tranquil countryside we offer all of our guests a stress free stay.
The kennels are fully licensed and comply with the Animal Boarding Establishment Act 1963.

INOCULATIONS

All dogs must be vaccinated. Current vaccination certificates must be produced for each stay.
NO CARD – NO ACCOMMODATION. We strongly recommend dogs are vaccinated against Infectious Bronchitis (Kennel Cough). We only recommend Nobivac KC.
Wherever dogs get together – at boarding kennels, shows, training classes or even vet waiting rooms – they’re at risk from infectious tracheobronchitis.
This highly contagious disease causes a harsh, dry cough – not unlike whooping cough in humans – and it’s extremely unpleasant for the dog. We believe firmly in keeping it out of our kennels.
Now there’s an easy way to protect dogs against the disease – with a tiny drop of vaccine gently trickled into just one nostril. Your dog will be immune within 72 hours. So please have your dog vaccinated – ideally at least 2 weeks before arrival at the kennels – for their sake, and the sake of all our other canine guests.

We offer split level cat chalets with clear Perspex doors and walls (no cages) giving a feeling of space. All chalets are indoors with heated, padded baskets. The cattery also has a colour television providing your cat with familiar, homely sounds. We feed what you feed your cat subject to availability from our supplier. The cattery is fully licensed and complies with the Animal Boarding Establishment act 1963. All cats must have been vaccinated. Current vaccination certificates must be produced for each stay. NO CARD - NO ACCOMMODATION.

Before you bring your cat to the cattery please ask your vet to vaccinate against Bordetella Bronchiseptica.

The above prices do not include insurance for pets in our care. We will not be liable for any disease incubating or any condition existing prior to boarding or natural death occurring in the Kennels or Cattery. We are able to administer medication supplied by your vet; however, there will be a surcharge for this service. A non-refundable, non-transferable deposit must be forwarded in advance with the Booking Form to secure accommodation.
