Hi I’m Nicola!

I have been lucky enough to have grown up with dogs since I was a toddler and I adore them! Sharing our homes and lives with dogs is a truly unique experience, and anyone who has ever welcomed a dog into their family will know how enriching that can be! The relationship we have with our dogs is wonderful – and as dog owners we are fitter, healthier and calmer! They provide us companionship and friendship, and we provide them food and shelter and the same in return!

As well as sharing my home with dogs, I have now been working with dogs for over 10 years. My previous work experience includes veterinary nursing, and volunteering as a dog walker, dog trainer and home checker for several animal rescues

In 2008 after training my own dog for several years I took the Dog Training Behaviour and Instructors Course at Derbyshire Canine Centre. In 2009 I was assessed and accepted for membership by the Association of Pet Dog Trainers. In 2011 I passed my Learning About Dogs Clicker Trainers Competency Assessment Programme at Level 1 with distinction.

Since 2008 I have worked with dozens of dogs and their owners in their own homes and in that time have resolved all manner of problems. For the past 8 years I have taught regular weekly training classes in Glossop and surrounding areas helping dogs and their owners to master the basics of dog training from puppy socialisation skills and basic pet dog obedience to fun classes like tricks, rally and agility.

My training assistants Kat and Emma are experienced dog owners with years of dog training between them. Emma is currently studying for her BSc. in Canine Behaviour and Training at Bishop Burton College, and Kat is currently studying for the APDT (Association of Pet Dog Trainers) Dog Training Instructors Course. Both Emma and Kat assist and teach at my training classes as well as assisting with home training sessions.

My pet sitting team has been carefully chosen and extensively trained by myself. All of our pet sitters are experienced, fully insured and police checked. We also regularly attend Canine First Aid Training for extra peace of mind.

As a team we continue our training and education by regularly attending seminars and workshops across the UK to ensure we using the most up to date effective methods.
