Sash Window Restoration is a process that involves renovation and refurbishment combined with draught proofing and the complete overhaul of your box sash windows. The restoration also involves repairing all mechanical faults and repairing all rot and decay using specialized restorative joinery techniques.
During the restoration process all loose and flaking paint is removed from both the box frames and the sliding sash windows and then after all repairs are completed the sash windows and boxes are completely redecorated to the highest standard possible.

The end result being, beautiful original box sash windows as good as the day they were first installed.

Box Sash Windows - "Recondition & Draught Proofing"

Expect to pay: £250 - £300 per sash window.

Designed to leave your windows fully functioning as they were intended, but without the age old problems of cold draughts and rattles.

Overhaul of both box and sashes including:-

-Supply and fit parting and staff beads with integral draught brushes.

-Replacement of sash cords.

-Adjustment and service of the weighting mechanism.

-Repair of any loose sash joints.

-Refitting of the sashes.


Box Sash Windows - "Decoration"

Estimated external and internal decoration costs per sash window, which comprises of 1 top sash & 1 bottom sash and the box.

Expect to pay: £150 - £200 per sash window.
