Hi my name is Christine and i have been a registered childminder for 25 years. I live in the WHINFIELD SCHOOL AREA OF DARLINGTON with 1 of our 2 grown up daughters and my Husband. I have been married for almost 33 years I drop off children / pick up children from WHINFIELD PRIMARY SCHOOL. and work full time most school holidays.During the day throughout term time I work part time in a pre school. I only take care of school aged children and during school holidays we spend alot of time doing activities both indoors and outdoors. The children enjoy leisure activities i.e Bowling, Visiting parks, farms , museums and cinemas. trips to the sea side and walks around the river. we also enjoy going to the Dolphin centre to play badminton.We participate in activities indoors, baking, Crafts and games.
Term time: i Have a variety of toys which i rotate daily and the children get to choose. The children also enjoy the use of a playstation, Eye toy and a hard standing dance mat.
I help the children with their homework and have a routine of snack with a piece of fruit, homework then free time. My daughters also help out with homework when they are around..
We have a very happy fun loving atmosphere in the house which enables the children to learn and have fun together.

I have a car but also take trips out by bus and train.
I ACCEPT TERM TIME OR SCHOOL HOLIDAY ONLY CARE
PLACES AVAILABLE FOR WHINFIELD SCHOOL PICK UP AND DROP OFF.

My Experience
I have worked with children since leaving school. I have worked in a private day nursery, A childrens home and have been childminding for almost 23 years. I became a childminder in order to stay at home with our girls but have enjoyed the work and enjoy the activites with the children so decided to carry on. I childmind children before and after school and school holidays During term time I work in a pre-school which i have worked in for nearly 23 years
We have a very happy atmosphere in the house and are a very fun loving family which enables me to provide a happy, safe and friendly environment for the children in my care.
I drop my prices for school holidays for day care and provide good home cooked, healthy meals free of charge during the school holiday period.

All my family are CRB checked.

My Qualifications
I have a Diploma in childcare equivalent to NVQ level 3.
2 Child welfare certificate A and B grades.
Child protection/ safe gaurding children certificate
I have First aid and food hygiene certificate along with a variety of other certificates for child care
I continue to upgrade my certicates through Sure Start

My Availability
Monday to Friday 7am - 9am. School drop off.
3.00 - 6.00 after school pick up.
I will negotiate other hours and I am quite flexible in order to help with your childcare needs
In school holidays for day care I provide good home cooked, healthy meals free of charge.


Full time or part time most of the school holidays.
I am not avaiable on weekends or bank holidays.
