Chester Race Company is a dynamic, constantly evolving and growing organisation. The company is responsible for two racecourses and all catering and conference facilities at Bangor on Dee and Chester, along with an on course hotel and restaurant at the Chester site. The company also provide external catering services for third party events.

Chester is the oldest racecourse in the UK and possibly the world, the first recorded race was held on 9th February 1539. The average race day attendance for 2011 was 23,500, the highest attendance was 43,000 for the Family Fun Day event in August. Saturday race meetings bring an additional £1.2m tourism revenue for Chester throughout the City.
