Hello, my name is Joanna

I am an OFSTED registered childminder and my setting is called Caterpillars to Butterflies . I live in Liverpool, Norris Green area with my husband Peter (DBS checked) and my son Peter Junior ( 2 years)
I have a lovely secured back garden with artificial grass, good range of outdoor equipment. We also have a fully equipped play rooms bursting with different resources and activities to keep us busy and as part of our weekly routine we will get chance to visit parks, meet new friends at toddler groups & play centres and find out what's going on at our local libraries.

We aim to provide a happy, safe, warm and healthy home based learning environment with healthy home-made meals & snacks during the day. There is lots to do at Caterpillars to Butterflies and some of the activities, whether it's indoors or outdoors, include literacy & numeracy, art & craft, singing & dancing, sensory play, exploring and understanding the world around us, quiet reading & story time, free play, baking & cooking and lots of messy play.
As an OFSTED registered childminder, I am committed to deliver the Early Years Foundation Stage Statutory Framework (EYFS) and support the children to fulfil their potential in all seven areas of learning & development.
I will share photos of your child regularly to keep you informed of what your child has done and important information to keep you updated. For the under fives, I provide a daily diary which details events that have gone on throughout the day, food eaten, nappy changes etc. A 'Learning Journey' folder will be completed during their time here which will include photographic evidence of the fun and learning. I also complete regular observations linked to the Early Years Foundation Stage and include samples of their work.

I take my chosen occupation very seriously and try to take any steps which I feel will increase my effectiveness as a Registered Childminder and improve the service I provide. Therefore, I am always keen to update and refresh my knowledge through relevant training courses. I have completed a Bachelor Degree in Early Years and Level 3 qualification "Certificate in Childminding Practice" , Pediatric First Aid, Safeguarding Children, Delivering EYFS, Food Health and Safety.
I am a member of Pacey Childminding Group and various online forums which help keep me up-to-date with Childminding issues and gives support. You can be rest assured as I have Public Liability and car insurance .

My Experience
Childcare experience with raising my own child. I have worked as a volunteer helping & working in Primary Schools and nursery which I thoroughly enjoyed. It was an amazing experience!
