“Fit, Fat and Furious” (previously “Bodyblast”) is a fun and challenging outdoor fitness session that attacks ALL the basic sub-qualities of the fitness model:-

Strength
Strength endurance
Motor Skills e.g. Speed, power, agility,
balance, reaction time
Flexibility
Aerobic Endurance

It focuses on certain movements and muscles, that are often overlooked and ignored, that create a power packed package, i.e. the “posterior chain” - muscles at the back of the upper and lower body.
Many individuals, including those that take part in regular physical activity, are very dominant in the front of the body that can cause movement issues and injury down the line. Indeed, the muscles at the front of the thigh (quadriceps) contribute highly to slowing you down. By attacking and focusing on the posterior chain, you will feel looser, more rhythmical and powerful, taller with improved dynamic posture AND the body will change shape as a result…..for the better!

Simple but challenging drills and equipment, some refined strongman type activities, are used with the primary focus on technique, NOT exhaustion. The latter is very, very easy to achieve and completely overrated in progressing total fitness. Many individuals who prescribe to this model/approach seem to be forever injured, regularly complaining of aches, niggles and pain.

Friendly, full and encouraging support and coaching is given throughout, with weekly tips and DIY drills and exercises that can be taken away to build upon the session to progress you even more. Any individuals who additionally play a sport or perform any physical disciplines or activities, will definitely feel a difference in movement and performance.

Finally, the session is neither “bootcamp” nor endurance training. Indeed, performing a lot of endurance training within a fitness programme, gets some of the limited explosive muscle fibres we are born with, to adapt and work slower for longer, AND you can’t change them back to being strong and explosive! Yes, you’ll actually become a slower and weaker human being! So, let’s become, “Fit, Fat and Furious” – have fun!!!
