Bob Jones Community Hub 3.65

Blakenhall Community & Healthy Living Centre was renamed to The Bob Jones Community Hub and officially unveiled by Deputy Police & Crime Commissioner Yvonne Mosquito on 30 October 2015.

Bob Jones CBE was born in Wolverhampton and served the community of Blakenhall as local councillor from 1980 to 2013.

He became the first West Midlands Police and Crime Commissioner on 8 January 2013.

Bob played an influential role in establishing the centre through New Deal for the Community money and was a dedicated supporter of this building until his tragic early death, aged just 59.
