Miranda Beatty has established her reputation as an interior decorator for more than 20 years. Her wide skill base began unusually from working for five years with decorative painter, Jim Smart, on projects in the UK, but principally in New York. This experience has given her an in-depth understanding of how colour can transform an interior in myriad ways. Miranda has since studied at the Inchbald Design School and managed a wide range of property refurbishment and decoration projects in the UK and France. Her distinctive style blends the classical with the contemporary, mixing iconic modern pieces with antiques, always with a decisive use of colour.
Based in Devon, Miranda now takes on projects in Devon, Somerset and London, advising on decoration from a single room to a complete house. Styles of window treatment, choices of textiles, wall finishes, floorings and the re-design of kitchens and bathrooms are all briefs she undertakes. Advice on building an art collection appropriate to each interior is also a particular skill.
