The Market is undergoing a refurbishment programme which will see the Market Hall fully refurbished throughout 2017 and 2018 creating a single indoor modern market hall complemented by outdoor street stalls in a new town centre square.

Barnsley town centre offers free parking every weekend in council car parks.

Goldthorpe Market
Located in the town centre with free on-site parking, this market is open every Tuesday and Saturday. Goods on sale include fresh fruit & vegetables, confectionery, clothing, cards, fresh fish, wool and haberdashery, pet products and more.

Hoyland Market
This new market location, with 30 stalls, opened in June 2016 and trades every Tuesday and Saturday for a general market and Thursdays for a second-hand market. The market has free on site-parking and links to this busy town centre with a pedestrian walkway.

Penistone Market Barn
Held inside the impressive Oak Barn in the town centre, the market opens every Thursday and Saturday with around 40 stalls. Benefitting from free parking with a shared car park with Tesco, the market serves the needs of this busy town centre. The weekly Saturday markets also have a small themed section;

Taking place along the main high street and open every Tuesday, Friday and Saturday, this general market offers a wide range of fantastic produce for you and your home.
