As Energy Assessors we use CLG accredited software, Elmhurst is the leading SAP software for Part L1A and Part L1B compliance for domestic buildings which is popular throughout the industry with consultants, house builders and Building Control Bodies.

At design stage of your project you will require an “As Designed” SAP Assessment, as you near the completion of your project we will provide you with an “As Built” SAP Report demonstrating compliance. At this stage we then produce an Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) which displays the dwellings energy efficiency rating and environmental impact rating.

In order to produce your Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) your dwelling will need to have an Air Pressure Test. Air Pressure Testing is carried out on site by Barlings kwa to certify that a dwellings air leakage rate achieves the rate specified in the “As Designed” SAP Assessment.

We can also provide the following services:

Ventilation Testing (Part F) can be carried at the same time as your Air Pressure Test, we will measure the air flow rates through the extractor fans to show compliance.

Water flow rate calculations (Part G) can be carried out once the specification of the water using fixed outlets have been agreed.
