Ashes Cottage is situated at the end of a private lane, overlooking farmland, 1 mile outside the village of Staveley. We have 3 bedrooms, 1 double, 1 superking and 1 twin. The large family bathroom is newly renovated with underfloor heating. Downstairs is a fitted kitchen, fully equipped with everything you'll need, including a dishwasher and microwave. There is a comfortable lounge across the back of the cottage with 2 open fireplaces and plenty of seating. There is a picture postcard view from every window. The back door leads out of the lounge onto a beautiful patio and landscaped garden complete with pond. Over the garden wall are fields full of friendly sheep and ambling footpaths. Head into the village across the fields for great cafes, pubs and the Hawkshead Brewery where you can sample the local ales. For the children there is a playground and cyclists will love the huge bike shop. Lake Windermere is only 10 minutes drive away, along with activities to suit every taste from spas to mountain biking.
