My bush-craft story started way back in the early 1970's when, at only 10 years old, I found myself camping alone for the night. During the night I had mixed emotions - a little fear matched equally with excitement, I mainly remember, however, the great urge to do it again.
From that time I started collecting anything related to living in the wild. My first knife was a small two-blade pocket knife and I remember thinking that if I had that knife in my pocket I could become anything and go anywhere I wanted. My feelings about spending time in the woods have not changed in the least over the decades.
2016 is my sixth year as a professional full time knife-maker and the thought of others having the same experience that I had but instead with one of my own knives playing a part is a huge motivation for me.
