A brief history of Allan Iles Visual

After training in Display & V.M. at Kent Institute of Design (Rochester) I took my 1st job at Dickins & Jones Regent Street a junior display assistant. Working as part large display team gave me a good grounding in all things display from covering a floor panel to dressing a Christmas tree. After leaving Dickins & Jones in 1996 I joined Luxury goods brand Asprey at there Bond Street Store. In stark contrast to high street retail I was now learning the art of displaying high end luxury goods and jewellery. After 4 years at Asprey I became its Visual Manager working closely with outside production companies to produce window schemes and manage all in store and event V.M. including some oversea projects.

Asprey was a great experience and one that taught me many of my skills but after 8 years I needed new challenges and the big world of freelance came a calling.
Since launching my freelance business I've worked in high end luxury, high street retail, parties and events. My client base is wide ranging and varied from designing and installing window schemes to styling events and parties. I work closely with many production companies and have prop made and installed on some great projects.

Since early 2014 I’ve been based in the thriving East Yorkshire coastal town of Hornsea, getting myself involved in local projects and assisting smaller bespoke businesses as well as continuing my work around the country.
Recently I’ve begun a creative partnership with local business Handmade in the Shed producing bespoke gifts & artwork, and generally having a great time being creative.


With over 20 years of experience, I constantly strive to produce imaginative and creative work for all my clients whilst maintaining a consciences and hardworking attitude.
