HOW DOES THE SCRAPSTORE WORK?
You can come along during our opening hours and fill up a bucket with clean, recycled materials perfect for your arts & crafts projects.

We are here to provide affordable arts and craft supplies for the local community to enjoy (individuals and families, schools/nurseries/uniform groups etc), whilst at the same time providing meaningful work for people with learning difficulties.

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?
We have two sizes of buckets to fill, small or large. Non-members pay:-
£3 for a small bucket
£7 for a large bucket

WHAT ABOUT MEMBERSHIP?
If you use the Scrapstore often, why not take out a yearly membership and save money on each bucket you buy. Members pay:-
£2 for a small bucket
£5 for a large bucket

A year’s membership to our Scrapstore costs £5 for individuals and families, £10 to voluntary and community groups and £15 to schools and nurseries. Pop in during opening times to complete a form and receive your membership card.

DONATE MATERIALS
We are always looking for new stock and are happy to receive lots of different things. See below for ideas. We support local businesses by taking items that they normally throw away as rubbish for free and repurposing them into arts and crafts supplies for the community.
- Fabric
- Buttons, lace, ribbon, wool
- Paper and card
- Large jars
- Beads
- Large sheets of bubble wrap, plastic or water proof sheets
- Sail cloth
- Dowelling
- Plastic or card tubes, various diameters
- Plastic containers

Please just check with us before you drop anything off to check that is usable. We can also offer a collection service by arrangement – get in touch to discuss.

ALL WE ASK…
Please only take what you need and return anything you don't use as we are committed to reducing our impact on the environment and reducing the amount of waste we produce.
We also ask that you do not make a profit by reselling what you buy from us.

WHAT ELSE?
As well as buckets to fill, we have selected individually priced items and some useful equipment for hire.

We are also happy to talk to schools/nurseries/groups about bespoke art & craft supplies for special projects.

We also run regular craft workshops for all ages and learning abilities!
