A sit down Interview with Alan Price.

How did you come to work as a photographer?

I have always enjoyed working with children and families, and have had a passion for photography all my life, so being able to combine the two is absolutely perfect and my dream job.

What or who inspires you?

I take inspiration from the personalities of each person or family I photograph, and I love to capture natural laughter and just see people having fun. I like to capture individual personalities in a picture because it's personal to them and captures who they are. Nothing beats capturing that great moment of fun or laughter in a photograph that lasts forever. What could be better!

What would you say was your speciality?

I pride myself on being able to create a relaxed atmosphere and being able to put people at ease. I also have a lot of patience, which is essential in this profession, and waiting for that perfect moment pays off every time. I also have many years' experience working with children of all ages. I make the session fun for them and they always seem to have a great time and want to come back. The best compliment of all is happy children who can't wait to have the next portrait taken because they enjoyed it so much.

Which photoshoots do you enjoy the most and why?

I enjoy every aspect of photography but my favourite has to be family portraiture and working with babies and young children. Every portrait is different and every child is different, so it's great to be able to create something new and capture their individual personalities.
