NCTU Law was established in the year 2000, first known as Institute of Technology Law (ITL). Though relatively young, NCTU Law is one of the most prestigious and influential law schools in Taiwan. Over 50% of the founding judges of Taiwan Intellectual Property Court, founded in 2008, are our alumni. Moreover, nearly 90% of the IP professionals in the Hsinchu Science Park are trained by our law school. The excellence and reputation of our law school achieved in the past decade is unsurpassed by any other institutes across the nation.

Since the establishment of ITL, NCTU Law has rapidly become the nation’s center for intellectual property and technology laws. We offer pioneering and interdisciplinary studies among law and economics, technology, medicine, psychology, labor, international arbitration and another fields.
