Winning the tender regarding the operating rights of the Milas-Bodrum Airport, one of the most significant tourism destinations of Turkey, for 20 years, TAV Airports added Milas-Bodrum to its portfolio as the 14th airport it operates. Having undertaken the operation of Milas-Bodrum Airport Domestic Terminal on July 15th, 2014, TAV Airports took over the operation rights of the Tnternational Terminal on October 22nd, 2015. Milas-Bodrum Airport International Terminal is located on an area of 95,927 sqm. Terminal has a total of 11 gates of which two of them are bus gates, 66 check-in counters, 18 passport control points at the arrivals floor and 18 passport control points at the departures floor and 5 baggage claim conveyors. Domestic Terminal on the other hand is located on an area of 14,686 sqm. It provides service with 5 bus gates, 26 check-in counters, and 4 baggage claim conveyors. Being one of the most crowded airports of Aegean Region of Turkey, Milas-Bodrum Airport opened to international traffic in 1997. Located within the borders of Muğla province, the airport is situated between Milas and Bodrum, two important cities of antique Caria region. Furthermore, it plays a very significant role in the transportation to tourism centers such as Didim, Kuşadası, Söke of Aydın province as well as Muğla. The airport is only 32 km away from Bodrum, 12 km away from Milas and 82 km away from Didim.
