Ada art is a meeting point and exchange for different artistic and and cultural forms of expression. Here, art exhibitions and workshops in the fields dance, theatre, yoga, painting, sculpture, language and ecological architecture are organized since 1997 far from touristic concerns. Mehmet Senol is the founder of Ada art and works as an architect and artist. Christina Schray surveys the project as the culture manager and acts as artist in performance projects. Ada art is located in the south of Marmara Island in a quiet bay neighboring the village Gündogdu. The central point of the project facilities is a huge hall of 100sqm. The facility, which is surrounded by olive trees, is in walking distance to the beach. The hall as well as the landscape and the guesthouse near the beach constitute an inspiration for artistic work and in the same time a relaxing atmosphere for holidays. Artists, teachers and visitors from Europe and Turkey meet here.
