The Reading Room, Bangkok 4.8

A 1,000-plus items contemporary art library, containing two distinct resource sections: a contemporary Thai art archive; and an art reference books from all over the world, including art history & theory books, monographs, exhibition catalogs, art magazines, and electronic resource.

In complementary to archive and research, The Reading Room regularly organizes and hosts series of events, especially talks, screenings and workshops from various fields from art, literature and film to sociopolitical issues that are relevant to contemporary culture.

ห้องสมุดศิลปะ The Reading Room เปิดให้บริการหนังสือเกี่ยวกับศิลปะร่วมสมัยกว่า 1,000 เล่ม ทั้งภาษาไทยและภาษาต่างประเทศ ประกอบด้วยสูจิบัตรนิทรรศการ หนังสือประวัติศาสตร์ศิลปะ ทฤษฎีศิลป์ นิตยสาร และสื่ออิเล็คทรอนิกส์ ต่างๆ โดยแบ่งข้อมูลหลักๆได้สองส่วนคือ ส่วนฐานข้อมูลศิลปะร่วมสมัยไทย และส่วนหนังสืออ้างอิงและสูจิบัตรนิทรรศการศิลปะจากประเทศอื่นๆ

นอกจาก การเก็บข้อมูลและการทำงานวิจัยต่างๆแล้ว The Reading Room ยังเน้นการจัดกิจกรรมโดยเฉพาะเสวนาพูดคุย จัดฉายภาพยนตร์ และทำ workshop ที่เกี่ยวกับศิลปะและสาขาอื่นๆ ทั้งภาพยนตร์ วรรณกรรม สังคมศาสตร์และ มนุษยศาสตร์ ซึ่งมีความเกี่ยวข้องกับวัฒนธรรมร่วมสมัย ห้องสมุด The Reading Room เป็นองค์กรไม่แสวงหาผลกำไร และเปิดให้บริการโดยไม่คิดค่าใช้จ่ายใดๆ
