DEAN & DELUCA was established by Joel Dean and Giorgio DeLuca – two friends with a deep passion for food and fine ingredients. They also had the same dream of creating a place where customers could enjoy new cooking and dining experience with food crafted from the finest ingredients sourced from around the world.

The first store of DEAN & DELUCA was launched in 1977 in New York’s Soho district, USA, serving gourmet food, gourmet coffee, a wide range of beverages, and specialty items, which included premium-imported wines, delicacies, and kitchen utensils.

In the beginning, the founders had traveled to many countries around the world in search of excellent, new, and exciting raw materials and food ingredients. Each item was meticulously and thoughtfully chosen. Their effort, and dedication to this selection process turned DEAN & DELUCA into a widely recognized brand that became synonymous with quality foods and fine ingredients. DEAN & DELUCA had also become a place frequented by cooking enthusiasts and tourists as customers could purchase all the best ingredients without a visit to any other shop.

Following the success of the first store, DEAN & DELUCA expanded its business by opening stores in several cities in the United States, such as Washington, D.C., North Carolina, Kansas City, Napa Valley, as well as in other countries across the world, such as Japan, South Korea, Kuwait, Thailand, Singapore, and The Philippines.

DEAN & DELUCA Thailand was established in 2010 with a subtly different design following the different customers’ lifestyles in each location.
