Phra Yuen is a district of Khon Kaen Province, northeastern Thailand.HistoryThe minor district Phra Yuen was established on October 18, 1976 by splitting off the three tambon Phra Yuen, Phra Bu and Ban Ton from Mueang Khon Kaen district. On January 1, 1988 it was upgraded to a full district.GeographyNeighboring districts are Ban Fang, Mueang Khon Kaen, Ban Haet and Mancha Khiri.AdministrationThe district is subdivided into 5 subdistricts, which are further subdivided into 46 villages . There are two townships - Ban Ton covers the full tambon Ban Ton, and Phra Yuen covers parts of tambon Phra Yuen. There are further 4 Tambon administrative organizations .
