Measurement.

In the current year,
The laboratory applied for SAC-SINGLAS (Singapore Accreditation Council - Singapore
Laboratory Accreditation Scheme), and was formally awarded accreditation in Oct 2010.

SAC-SINGLAS is a scheme that assesses and accredits laboratories according to ISO/IEC
17025. This is the standard used internationally to assess the Quality Management System (as
In ISO 9000) and technical competence of laboratories to carry out measurements and
calibration. This is a great recognition to the company, as being awarded accreditation means it
is an endorsement of the laboratory’s competence, credibility, independence and integrity in
carrying out its conformity assessment activities. This is an assurance to our clients the quality
of our service.

To maintain an unbroken chain of traceability to all our clients’ measuring instruments, we
ensure that all Reference Standards used in the laboratory are traceable to national or
International standard bodies.
With a well-established and organized traceability system, we shall assist our clients in
achieving accreditation. This shall greatly increase their competitiveness in the international
market, especially under various schemes like ISO 9000, ISO 14000, etc.
In order to take our business and service to a higher international level, we registered with SAC
in 2010 for the ILAC-MRA (International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation - Mutual
Recognition Arrangement). Mutual Recognition means that reports and certificates issued by
SAC-accredited laboratories are recognized by MRA member-countries worldwide, thus
avoiding the need for re-calibration in the importing economy, ultimately saving time and
money.
Our aim is to continually improve the quality of our service and extend our scope to meet
customer needs and satisfaction.
