ABOUT WORLD GRASIO

GRASIO is an abbreviation derived from Gerak Silat Olahraga, which is in Indonesian language that means ‘movement in competition’. This style of martial art has been practiced by pesilat in many countries including Singapore, Nepal and Pakistan since about a decade ago. GRASIO focuses on the art and skills of competition movements as well as self defence. The foundation of GRASIO martial art suits the requirement, and is in accordance with the competition rules.Therefore the development of GRASIO in many countries nowadays has placed silat as one of the potentially appealing branch of sport events

GRASIO was originally established by Master Sheik Alau’ddin in the year 1995. It started initially in Singapore as a small group consisting of several students and Mr. Ghazali Amin, who is the current coach of GRASIO Sydney and was among the first instructors of GRASIO Singapore. In the present time, GRASIO Singapore has since been expanding very well to an encouraging extent.
