Sandra Quelle, our founder and Chief Happiness Officer, came up with the idea after leaving her successful recruitment career. Searching for new opportunities, she was only considered for sales and recruitment jobs. Frustrated, she tried coaching to figure out how she could change career paths and to gain clarity on what she could do next. It was great, but she felt it wasn’t concrete enough. She thought: “If anyone could help me bring those concepts into a real job. That would be amazing!” She soon realized no one is offering this.

At the same time, she helped a friend land a job in Singapore. After finding what he was looking for, he suggested to Sandra to offer her services to other people as well, because he felt it was her unique approach that had helped him secure the right opportunity.

Encouraged, Sandra arranged a casual event to test the concept on a wider audience. The room was packed and a session that should have lasted an hour, continued for almost three! Sandra realized that she could really make a difference in people’s lives through her unique, hands-on approach. And so, The Happy Mondays Co was born.
