Singapore Thong Chai Medical Institution was established in 1876 and has the longest history of 150 years among similar TCM organizations in Singapore. It serves all freely regardless of race, religion or nationality, adhering faithfully to its founding principle since its inception, and has contributed to the healthcare system in our nation. After the hugely successful SG50 Thong Chai Charity Walkathon in 2015, we are proud to present our Thong Chai 150th Anniversary Walkathon. This walkathon will cover a 9-km route that passes through many places of interest including Singapore River, Parliament House, Marina Bay Sands and Merlion Park. Through this, it is hoped that participants will be more aware of the charms of Singapore and be more appreciative of all our forebears’ hard work that made the miracle of our nation possible.
Mr Chee Hong Tat, Minister of State, Ministry of Communications and Information & Ministry of Health, has kindly consented to be the Guest of Honour for the event. He will flag off the event and take part in the walk with the participants, walking the talk of a balanced, healthy lifestyle. We welcome everyone to join us in the event. Let us all appreciate what we do have, while keeping fit at the same time!
