Since its inaugural intake of undergraduates in August 2001, the SMU School of Accountancy (SOA) has grown from strength to strength. Today, SOA boasts a student population of over 1,000, which comprises both Bachelor of Accountancy (BAcc), Master of Professional Accounting (MPA) and Master of Science in CFO Leadership (MCFO) students.

The BAcc, MPA and MCFO programmes have been designed with the future development and landscape of the accounting sector in mind. Our programmes are endorsed by reputable educational accreditation and professional industry bodies, including SAC, ISCA, ACRA, CPA Australia, ICAA, ICAEW, CIMA and AACSB International.

SOA places great emphasis on producing professional accountants who are dynamic, possess diverse skill sets and who thrive in meeting challenges and tasks, while actively promoting excellence in research and teaching through faculty selection and development. The faculty, staff and students of SOA are committed to building a culture of excellence. Together, they share a sense of professionalism, personal integrity, social responsibility, as well as an aspiration for exemplary leadership in the field of accounting education.
