What’s it all about? School of Fish is an exciting initiative designed to accurately impart our learned skills to participants to kick-start their passion for recreational Sport fishing. This is a fun, hands-on outdoor fishing activity in our beautiful parks that makes it a perfect fit for the busy Singaporeans and visitors to our sunny island who can afford a few hours to learn a skill that will be with them for the rest of their lives or just to have a guided fishing/no fuss session. All, including the very young, primary & secondary students, teenagers, adults, retirees and their families as well as organized groups of all ages and abilities stand to benefit from this learning experience.

School of Fish Story To one who has not acquired the Art of Sport-Fishing, let me suggest that a day or two with our expert will save much time and trouble. There are many little things that would take a long time to find out by experience that can be learned very quickly when taught by our experts. We will take you fishing with preselected artificial lures on our premium bait-casting or spinning outfits. It is not easy to tell one exactly how to fish with the bait-casting without the hands-on experience at the same time of landing a catch of the day or even a lifetime.

The Need for Lessons At the School of Fish, we are convinced there had to be a lot of people out there who were just waiting to fall in love with the art of sport-fishing. Whatever their reason for holding back, whether intimidation by experts who made it sound too difficult, bewilderment at the vast array of gear available, or fear of just looking foolish, we think that there is little need of prodding to learn to fish for life. Our team members are long-time fishing friends and expert fishermen, with tens of years of fishing in the local circuit and in NT, Australia chasing the famous Barramundis since the 1990’s and have sought after many other sport fish in many parts of the world. Our founders who are also regular businessmen are so passionate about educating the young and old will be overseeing this sport fishing school. Passion and skills of gifted anglers—a good combination for a school—so we decide to embark on the opening of the country’s first sport fishing school.

We recalled many of our childhood memories and encountered many that have learned through our guidance and now we are ready to take students for that first official lesson. We believed that there is a completely unknown market among Singaporeans and her visitors, who craved the opportunity to learn from experts about this exciting sport.

We take it as our social responsibility to educate the young on the art of sport fishing to spark their spirit of adventure, to eventually introduce sport-fishing as an acceptable part of the education ministry revised physical education syllabus that would be require students to take part in at least three recreational sports. Sport fishing will help educate the young and old and help them to appreciate the outdoors, laying the foundations for more adventurous and rugged out-door pursuits just as it had benefited us in our numerous sport fishing safaris in the great outback. We think that it will open up a greater opportunity of bonding of parents, kids and grandparents with just a small investment. Our experts will put things in place for the great bonding moments and make things interesting eliminating risks and embarrassment. Come and start this adventure with us!
