Details

Sailing for the Disabled was started after Singapore Sailing and four sailors Siew Shaw Her, Colin Ng, Joan Huang and Naomi Tan had received the Singapore Totalisator Board's Excellence for Singapore Award.

It was a unanimous vote by the four sailors, led by Singapore Sailing Federation that the $10, 000 that came with the Award be dedicated towards the promotion of disabled sailing in Singapore. Soon after that, Sailability Singapore was formed.
