Nanyang Arts Festival 2.87

In its 13th year, the chosen theme for Nanyang Arts Festival (NAF) 2015 is Up Close.

Art is an important mode of self-expression and for the sharing of ideas. However, just like in business economics wherein without demand there will be no supply, Art cannot be sustained and cannot grow without others to appreciate it. It is hence important to reach out and instill in the general populace an appreciation of the arts to keep this bond between humans and art alive to ensure that ideas continue to be shared and art continues to grow.

In line with this theme, the programs planned will greatly focus on collaborations that result in exotic and intimate performances and interactive workshops, for example, that will bring a personal touch to the NTU community. We believe that by getting up close and personal to everyone, we can promote a wider spectrum of arts, help each person find the exceptional art form that touches his or her heart, encourage all to nurture the art scene
together and therefore create a new genre of art that is uniquely NAF.

With all these in mind, we look forward to reaching out to not only the students of NTU, but also to the general public as we move towards the vision of establish NAF as a credible and prestigious event in the Arts and Culture scene of Singapore.
