MapNum is a baby startup founded in a study room in northern Singapore in 2014.

What
MapNum is a free highly interactive location-based app which allows people to post news and share photos with everyone happening at a particular place. No more guessing of the exact location these events are happening. No need to wait for multiple sharing before the news comes to your doorstep.

Why
We believe interaction between people in the highly connected world can be further enhanced.

Current limitations:
- You need to be at that location physically to be aware of events around that area
- Many current location-based apps’ information is not dynamic. The information is not updated fast enough.
- Many times we do not know the exact location the event we get from the internet has happened.
- Information not flowing fast enough. Multiple sharing required before it can propagate through the mass.

Our objective is to build a platform which can overcome the above limitations.

MapNum was founded by a nerd who spent 19years doing computer-related stuff (Both hardware and software) in various places ranging from schools to airport and the companies he has worked in before starting MapNum,
