Safety has always been at the heart of what Galmon does.

In addition to providing safe machines, we are also actively trying to lower the number of fall-from-heights incidents in Singapore.

One of the most direct ways to do this is to raise the work-at-heights safety awareness of the workers.

In 2011, we established Galmon Academy and became an Accredited Training Provider for mobile elevating work platforms under the Ministry of Manpower in the same year.

In 2015, Galmon Academy became an Accredited Training Organisation under the Workforce Development Agency, offering Workforce Skills Qualifications (WSQ) courses in boom, scissor and personnel lifts.

On 22 May 2015, Galmon unveiled Singapore’s first training centre dedicated to work-at-heights safety.

The new two-storey, 6,700 sqm Galmon Academy building in Tuas includes outdoor and indoor training grounds, 11 air-conditioned classrooms as well as a 300-pax auditorium ideal for holding safety talks and forums.

At Galmon Academy, we impart to our trainees the knowledge on how to choose the correct equipment for the task at hand and to use the machines correctly.

Our courses are accredited by the Singapore Government as well as internationally recognised bodies such as the International Powered Access Federation (IPAF) and the Prefabricated Access Suppliers’ and Manufacturers’ Association (PASMA).
