Etch Empathy is a non profit social enterprise in Singapore that believes in cultivating empathy for poverty eradication.

Our programmes are designed by certified EQ Trainer, structured with cultivating empathy in mind. By allowing participants to step in the shoes of target communities, our simulations help people establish a raw connection with the issues a vulnerable individual struggle with, challenge prejudices and discover commonalities.

Why Empathy?

With more complex challenges in the 21st century, we could see more prejudice, conflict, inequality and poverty. However, with the ability to experience, connect and empathise with other people's feelings, thoughts, or point of views can improve relationships, facilitate better decision making and nurture a more effective empathic leadership. These will result in contributing positive change to self, others and a flourishing Singapore.

Our logo

While the logo looks like a simple 'E' shape, it is also a hidden chinese character of the word 'heart' (心), as ETCH aims to create programs that can remain etched in the hearts of our participants.
