Born and raised in Singapore, Chow-Kiat Er (C.K.) is an award-winning graduate from the world-renowned, Musicians Institute in Hollywood, CA.

Fascinated by drums and percussion - particularly the modern drum kit, C.K. picked up his first pair of drumsticks when he was just 12 years old and has not looked back ever since.

C.K.’s drumming has been seen by over 350,000 people on YouTube and his performance resume with the Urban Drum Crew includes countries such as China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, India, Japan, Macau, South Korea, Thailand and Vietnam.

As a session drummer, C.K. has worked with many artistes like Eric Moo (MY/TW), Ella Koon (HK), Steven Ma (HK), Corrinne May (SG), The Sam Willows (SG) and guitar extraordinaire, Mateus Asato (BR) just to name a few.

Mostly known for his ability to provide a solid backbeat for pop singers, he could also be found playing in a jazz quartet from time to time.

C.K. was featured as the cover story of Straits Times Life! (Singapore’s biggest newspaper firm) on 31st January 2013.

He is a Musicians Institute Full Ride Scholarship recipient and was presented with Outstanding Student Award (Drum Program) upon graduation in 2014.
