CARS 88 was founded in early 2012. Our first team comprised of 3 former sales consultants of the dealership of a premium german make and a former real estate agent.
We began operations with 5 carpark lots at the basement of Holiday Inn (Concorde Hotel) along Outram Road. Within the same year, our fleet had expanded beyond what our initial premises could provide and we progressed into larger premises at our current location in Mackenzie Car Mall.
In 2013, with the introduction of loan curbs within the car industry, CARS 88 bucked the trend and expanded our premises within Mackenzie Car Mall to hold an additional 15 vehicles.
In 2014, our consignment arm was established. In order to offer higher values for our customers, we developed a system to match sellers to buyers, and we safeguarded the transactions to ensure transfers were executed with speed and ease that resulted in higher values for sellers and more affordable bargains for buyers.
In 2015, we have embarked on another segment of the market, Parallel Imports. We are offering exciting models directly imported from Japan and plan to expand to a comprehensive range of offerings.
All along, we have specialised in german makes, specifically, Audi, BMW and Mercedes Benz. We have since expanded our range of products and offer pre-owned continental makes like, Alfa Romeo, Jaguar, Volvo and Volkswagen, and premium Japanese brands like, Lexus, Honda, Toyota, Mazda and Nissan.
