APKIM RESOURCES was founded by Almarhum Ustaz Abu Bakar Hashim, a renowned Singaporean Community activist who had retired from the position of the President of the Syariah Court. His other portfolios include being the Registrar of Muslim Marriages, being in various advisory boards with the Ministry of Community Development, President of the Association of Religious Teachers of Singapore as well as serving as a board member of the Islamic Religious Council of Singapore.

Having been well exposed to the Muslim community’s issues, APKIM was set up to help address the issues directly by providing an Intensive Marriage Guidance Course that aims to ensure young couples better prepare themselves of the important roles they would be playing.

Hence, APKIM has developed a personalised approach to include addressing the individual couples’ concerns to help the couples prepare themselves for their marriage. The course is designed as an intensive and holistic session for today’s couples.

APKIM Resources (Reg No 49699000L) was first established in 1993. With the demise of the founder, Almarhum Ustaz Abu Bakar, his successor, Ustaz Sallim Jasman, is now the Advisor and Consultant of APKIM Resources. Ustaz Sallim has just retired from the position of the Senior President of Syariah Court and had many illustrious public positions in the Singapore Muslim Community. Under his leadership, APKIM has expanded its role to provide services for married couples and families under its newly registered society, APKIM Center for Social Service (ACOSS). Among ACOSS’ services is a project with the Singapore Syariah Court in handling counseling cases for marital issues and an Empowerment Partnership Program under the Islamic Religious Council of Singapore (MUIS) for low income families. APKIM has also conducted numerous parenting and youth programs and has worked with the Ministry of Social and Family Development (MSF) and Health Promotion Board (HPB) to bring the programs to the community.

After 16 years of being in the industry, APKIM has created a brand name for itself. APKIM’s clients include many foreigners, among them from Australia, France, Egypt, United Kingdom, USA, India, Pakistan and Holland, to name a few.
