VISBYFESTIVALEN, 16-20th of August

Acoustic, smaller format and intimate – that's what Visbyfestivalen is about.

Music is not always about the big stages and crowds, or who is on the latest hit lists. For us, music is a meeting between an artist and an audience. In this meeting, magic happens. Words and notes is brought to life, thoughts and experiences is shared, voices and music transcends all barriers and go right in to your heart.

CO-WRITING DAYS
Wed-Thur 16-17th of August
During one day the participants meet, pair up and write a new song together. These new creations (as much as we have done) is played to the hole group in a Song Circle in the evening. This small concert will also be presented at Visbyfestivalen, Saturday 19th of August.

We will focus mainly on nordic singer-songwriters, but others are also welcome.
Cost: 1500 SEK
(2200 SEK with room+breakfast.)

BARBEQUE ON SCANDIC
- WITH SAMPLES OF VISBYFESTIVALEN
Friday 18th of August
On Friday evening, all the artists gather at Scandic Hotel in the harbour. As we meet and socialize, we also give the Barbeque guests some samples of Visbyfestivalen: Some of the artists give pieces of their performance by the pool, as the sun sets. This is a magical evening - don't miss out!

VISBYFESTIVALEN
Saturday 19th of August
Saturday at 11am the festival itself starts. For 12 hours, different artists from all over the world perform. A ticket lets you come and go as you like – or stay all day long! This year, since it is our 10 year anniversary, we hope to be able to present even more exciting singer-songwriters!

WORKSHOP DAY
Sunday 20th of August
Everybody's welcome to our workshops in singing, songwriting and artistry. Come, have fun, evolve! Anyone can do it – and any entry requirements will be specified. You get to meet established artists who share their experiences. A wonderful source of inspiration and development!
