Serendipity Innovation’s core business is to create new innovative companies based on leading academic research. This is done in conjunction with world-leading scientists, skilled entrepreneurs and by working closely with potential customers to ensure that the products and services developed meet the actual market demand and requirements. The product development projects usually involve paying customers. This makes the value creation process efficient and ensures that resources to create value are allocated where needed and appreciated from a customer perspective.

Serendipity Innovations began operations in 2004 and has since established and operated more than 17 companies; most of them research and development-intensive companies. The key success factor has been the ability to reduce the gap between research and enterprise, or rather, scientists and entrepreneurs. Serendipity builds effective teams with key competences, complementary skills and personalities, and provide them with effective tools and processes for building valuable companies. In this way, the company creates the right conditions for successful organizations to emerge.

Within Serendipity there is a constant quest for more efficient and profitable ways to create and conduct innovation processes. The goal is to build companies that are world leaders in their niche. Today the Serendipity Group has more than 130 persons employed and the number of new employees in the group has grown each year ever since the company was established.
