HOW THE VOICE THING STARTED:

According to John's elder sister, he began his voice career in 1965 when he was just 4 years old - by constantly imitating the hound growl in Roy Orbison's hit single Pretty Woman.

Later on at school he would regularly entertain his classmates with his voice impressions of teachers, fellow pupils, famous singers, comedians and actors.

46 years later and John is still collecting interesting and unusual voices. This collection has proved to be an invaluable source of ideas and inspiration in both his professional voice-over and theatre work.
