As Maria Åkerberg was planning to start her own skincare salon, she needed to find the right products. It turned out to be impossible to find a skincare line without mineral oils and synthetic ingredients. Based on her own needs, Maria then created a small product range. Over time, it has grown to comprise over 200 products.

Since 1995, Maria and DERMANORD – Svensk Hudvård AB have been working on spreading the message about how the contents of skincare products really afffect us, and the world around us. Back then, there was no law regulating declaration of content. However, since Maria wanted to know for sure what she used on her skin, she thought there must be other people who felt the same way. There were! And there still are. Thanks to DERMANORD and MARIA ÅKERBERG we now have exactly the products that Maria was searching for back in the early 90s: Real skincare!
