ABOUT US:
We, Kent & I, Erika, Karlsson, are the owners of Kennel Stolta Ebba. We live in a typical, old Swedish farmhouse from the 18'th century in the northern part of Västra Götaland, between the two big lakes Vänern and Vättern in the Western districts of Sweden. On our farm we also have a boarding kennel for dogs & cats, check out our boarding kennel SKÄLLATON Dog & Cat Hotel at www.skallaton.com.

We have been dog owners since childhood, mainly of German Shepherds except for one or two side-steps with Collie and Beagle, Erika has been a member of the Svenska Brukshundklubben for a long time and have been active in the organization as sector responsible for PR/Info/Web in Svenska Brukshundklubben Distrikt Skaraborg, Webmaster of Töreboda Brukshundklubb, and instructor.

Erika was during some years also elected board member & secretary of the official breed club for the Danish-Swedish Farm Dog in Sweden, Rasklubben för Dansk-Svensk Gårdshund. And together with Stina and Ann-Marie were having dog activities in the non-profit, independent association DSG-Mitt Skaraborg. DSG Skaraborg were founded in 2004 and organizes mainly farm dog activities and courses by Stina Johansson and Erika Karlsson.

Kent on the other hand had not had so much experience in dogs before the two met, but has during the years become totally devoted to a family life with a bunch of active Danish-Swedish Farmdogs and Lancashire Heeler. Our son Jonathan has competed at dog shows in junior handling and have also done some courses at the local SBK-club.

OUR BREEDING GOAL
Our breeding goal is to breed versatile, healthy and social Lancashire Heeler and Danish-Swedish Farmdogs with a mentality that functions well in today's modern society and together with their owners. To achieve these goals we use only officially health checked dogs in our breeding, tries to match this with our vision to breed dogs of the correct type that meet their breed standards.

In our breeding we follow the Swedish Kennel organisations (SKK) rules about ethics & breeding. We are breeders and members of the Swedish Kennel Club SKK, members of the Swedish official Breed Club for the Lancashire Heeler.

ABOUT THE BREED Danish-Swedish Farmdog
The breed of our heart is the breed Danish-Swedish Farmdog, and it became acknowledged in the year 2008. It is belonging to FCI nr 356, Group 2: Schnauzer and pinscher, molosser, mountain and sennen dogs. The origin of the breed is uncertain but there are some indications that it originates from the Pinscher breed and the Terrier breed.

According to the standard they should be about 32-35 (females) and 34-37 cm (male) +/-2 cm of height. The relationship between height and body length should be 9 to 10.

They should have a triangular, rather small head with a well emphasized stop.
The body should be compact with good substance and with a chest that is long, deep and roomy and a slightly rounded croup.

The coat should be short, smooth and harsh on the body and at the end there should be a natural bobtail/half bobtail or natural long tail. ;-)

The predominating color should be white with some broken patches of different colors such as black, tan, brown and shades of fawn.

The impression of a DSG should be a white dog with some spots or patches in different color combination.

Our other breed is Lancashire Heeler, also a rare breed that is under reconstruction. The females should measure 20-25 cm and male 25-30 cm. It is a cow hearding breed, a little tuff and active dog that is nowadays used in dog sport activities as agility, obidience and of course herding.
