Vid institutionen bedrivs utbildning och forskning inom informatik, interaktionsdesign, lärande, kommunikation, kognitionsvetenskap och visualisering i nära samverkan med industri och offentlig sektor. Här utvecklas individens kunskap och förmåga att analysera, förstå och hantera olika aspekter av IT, samspelet mellan människor, och samspelet mellan människan och tekniken.

Institutionen finns på Campus Lindholmen och är en del av både Chalmers tekniska högskola och Göteborgs universitet.

English description:

The department offers education and carries out research within the areas informatics, interaction design, learning, communication, cognitive science and visualization in close collaboration with industry and public sector. Development of the individual’s knowledge and ability to analyze, understand and handle different aspects of IT, interaction between people and interaction between people and technology are at focus.

The department is located at Campus Lindholmen and is part of both the University of Gothenburg and Chalmers University of Technology.
