Välkommen till Camp Ripan – i hjärtat av Kiruna!
Vi är ett hotell, men ett ovanligt sådant. Kiruna är en stor kommun till ytan så vi har plats att bygga på bredden istället för på höjden. Därför har vi inrett våra vackra och bekväma hotellrum i stugor med egen ingång, dusch och toalett, de är helt enkelt små privata oaser men ändå med närhet till all service.

För dig med husdjur: Vi har speciella stugor där du kan ha med ditt husdjur, önskar du en sådan stuga meddela detta vid bokningstillfället.

I Kiruna finns det mesta, allt från storslagen fjällvärld till spännande arkitektur, från midnattssol till norrsken, från vintriga snöfyllda hundspannsturer till somriga ridturer på islandshästsryggar, och allt där emellan. Vi vill försöka ge dig det bästa Kiruna har erbjuda i äventyr, möjligheter och upplevelser just precis då när du själv väljer att gästa oss.

Vi ser också fram emot att ha dig och dina arbetskollegor som konferensgäster. Vi menar att ett lyckat möte ger effekter som håller lite längre. Vi på Camp Ripan vill skapa förutsättningar för de effekterna. Hos oss hittar ni en anläggning där ni kommer att trivas och kunna låta er inspireras av naturen och inte minst av människorna, som ska flytta en hel stad.

Och efter en hel dag utomhus, eller i konferensrummet, vad är väl bättre än att få koppla av i vårt Aurora Spa och låta dagen långsamt rinna av dig medan du ger dig själv avkopplande bastubad, sköna fotbad, välgörande spaprodukter och uppfriskande poolbad? Kvällen kan med fördel avslutas i vår restaurang där regionens fantastiska råvaror förädlas till kulinariska upplevelser.

Allt detta och mer därtill hittar du hos oss. När vi byggde Camp Ripan till den anläggning den är idag, var vi alla överens – vi ska gräva där vi står. Det synsättet följer med som en röd tråd genom hela vår verksamhet och genomsyrar också tankegångarna när det gäller vårt miljöarbete, inredningsdetaljer och design. Vi ville inte att vår anläggning skulle se ut som ett hotell placerad var som helst i världen, vi ville ha ett uttryck som andades Kiruna. Det är från stadens tre kulturer – den svenska, den samiska och den tornedalska – i kombination med naturens egna kontrastrika färger och former som vi har hämtat inspiration.

Design, inredning och materialval andas renhet och enkelhet, precis som naturen, kulturen och atmosfären i vår fjällstad. Huvudbyggnadens panoramafönster ger stora utblicksytor, precis som vidderna på fjället ger blickfång i fjärran. Och mitt i allt detta, centralt placerad i entrén står eldstaden. Den värmande, livgivande, levande elden som skapat förutsättningar för tidigare släkten att överleva i det många gånger bitvis hårda polarklimatet.
Man kan säga att varje plats har sin själ och det trekulturella samhälle vi befinner oss i är vår själ. Vi har grävt där vi står.

När du gästar oss på Camp Ripan vill vi att du ska känna dig som hemma fastän du är borta.
Vi är en oas i en expansiv stad. Mixen av människor, kulturer och intressen ger också vår anläggning en spännande internationell och chosefri atmosfär. Och från oss är det nära till allt – både stad och natur.
Det betyder att du inte behöver välja. Här hos oss får du både ock!

Welcome to Camp Ripan – at the heart of Kiruna!
We are a hotel, but a rather unusual one. Kiruna municipality covers a great deal of land, so there is plenty of room to build outwards instead of upwards. This is why our beautiful and comfortable hotel rooms are cosy cabins with private entrances, showers and WC. Quite simply your own private oasis close to all the amenities.
If you are travelling with pets: We have special cabins if you are travelling with pets. Please let us know if you need one when booking your stay.

Kiruna has just about everything, from a majestic mountain landscape to exciting architectural history, from the midnight sun to northern lights, from snowy winter dog sled tours to summertime Icelandic horseback riding tours, and everything in between. We want to give you the very best Kiruna has to offer as far as adventures, opportunities and experiences – right when you decide to visit us.

We also look forward to having you and your colleagues as conference guests. We believe that a successful meeting has long lasting effects. We at Camp Ripan wish to create the conditions for those effects. Here you and your colleagues will find an establishment where you are comfortable and able to be inspired by not only the countryside but also the people who stand ready to move an entire city.

And after an entire day outdoors, or in a conference room, what could be better than relaxing in our Aurora Spa and letting the day’s activities slowly melt away as you pamper yourself with a relaxing sauna bath, foot bath, beneficial spa products and a refreshing dip in the pool? Take advantage of rounding off the evening in our restaurant where the fantastic regional fresh produce is transformed into delectable culinary experiences.

All this and so much more is what you will find at Camp Ripan. When we built this fantastic place to what it is today, we all agreed on one thing – to dig where we stand and focus on the best Kiruna has to offer. And that is the principle that influences every aspect of our operations and is the foundation of how we think as far as our environmental work, décor and design. We didn’t want our establishment to look like a hotel you find everywhere else in the world, we wanted an expression that captured the spirit of Kiruna.
It is from the three cultures of Kiruna – the Swedish, the Sami and the Torne Valley Finish – intertwined with nature’s own richly contrasting colours and shapes that we have found our inspiration.

Design, décor and choice of materials always instil a sense of purity and simplicity, reflecting the nature, culture and atmosphere of this mountain city. The main building’s high panorama windows offer wonderful unobstructed views, similar to the open mountain landscape that allows your eyes to rest on the far-off horizon. Appropriately placed at the centre of our grand entry hall is an open fireplace. The warming, life-giving and mesmerizing fire created the conditions for our forefathers to survive in this often quite harsh sub-arctic environment. One can say that every place has its soul and the community of three cultures we live in is indeed our soul. We have dug where we stand.

When you stay at Camp Ripan we want you to feel at home despite being away. We are an oasis in an expansive city. The mix of people, cultures and interests also contributes to an exciting and unpretentious atmosphere at Camp Ripan. From here you are close to everything – city as well as nature - which means you never have to choose. At Camp Ripan we give you both!
