Sri Lankan International School Jeddah 4.12

The Sri Lankan International School, Jeddah, (SLISJ) was inaugurated on 31st October 1998 under the sponsorship of the Consul General of Sri Lanka in Jeddah with the approval of the Ministry of Education, International schools, license number 13G. The school is located within ample premises in the Sharafiyah district of Jeddah, a residential location within close proximity to a large Sri Lankan community.

The school was established primarily to cater to the educational needs of the Sri Lankan Community in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, and operates strictly within the guidelines and regulations for community schools as communicated by the Ministry of Education. Non-Sri Lankan students, who have obtained prior approval from the Ministry, are welcomed.

The medium of instruction is primarily in the English Language. The school prides itself in maintaining high academic standards while emphasizing the importance of a well balanced approach to co and extra curricular pursuits as evident by the various clubs and societies actively operating within the school.

Since its establishment the student and staff strength has steadily grown with corresponding upgrading of infrastructure facilities. In recognition of its strength the school continuously seeks to develop the talents of its students to be leaders in society.
