The Institute of teaching Arabic language to non-Arabic speakers was established in 1386 / 1387A.H, on the recommendation of the Senior Advisory Board of the University in its second meeting held on 29/07/1383 A.H under the name of : Language Division for Non-Arabs, the study in the institute is only for non-Arab students who are not fluent in the Arabic language in order to make them attain the level that will enable them to follow courses in the faculties of the university or college and other institutes which are under the supervision of the Islamic university according to their academic qualifications.
In 1422 A.H, a resolution was issued by the Higher Education Council to change the name of the institute to: Institute of teaching Arabic language to its non-Arabic speakers.
The study at the Institute consists of four levels of teaching in four semesters.
