Batterjee Medical College 5.19

In the year 2003, the Batterjee family found itself making a crucial change to the history of higher education in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia: the establishment of Batterjee Medical College, now the MENA region’s largest private institution for medical and health sciences.

Constructed on 100,000 square meters of land in Obhur, Jeddah, the college has gone on to become one of the most modern, state-of-the-art institutions within its industry, and boasts a sizeable capacity of accommodating more than 4000 students throughout eight specialized
medical programs for the benefit of the booming healthcare industry in the Kingdom.

BMC has seen rapid change and growth over the years, with a multitude of accomplishments, among the first of which was the Tuebingen German University Collaboration, followed by the establishment of a strong affiliation with Maastricht University in the Netherlands, and is recognized by the World Health Organization (WHO) along with the Foundation for Advancement of International Medical Education (FAIMER).

Currently, in 2017, BMC has embarked on retaining the excellent qualities to continue being a leading force aligned with Vision 2030 in progressing the Kingdom’s efforts forward to achieving its vision, as well as meet the requirements for the current phase of the National Transformation Program 2020 through a multitude of community programs and initiatives.
