1996
The foundations of the Paradigma Group lie in AEI Broadcast Concept.
AEI BROADCAST CONCEPT was founded in 1996 by Adrian E. Ionescu, operating principally as a film distributor representing international companies in the Romanian market.
The company also performed domestic market research aimed at identifying business opportunities in Romania.
In the later years of the 1990s, the company started to organise small events.

2000
Cristian Singer, a very famous name and a widely experienced specialist in the entertainment business, was
co-opted as a partner in the company, the new shareholding structure being 50% to 50% with Adrian E. Ionescu.
Building on the extensive expertise of the new partner, the company focused its activities as a complete sound and lighting system integrator business.

2003
Two years of successfully producing major events in Romania led to the opportunity to buy new and more advanced sound & lighting rental equipment.
Becoming a member of Synco Europe, a network of professional rental companies with subsidiaries in France, Holland, Belgium, Portugal, and the U.K., gave a significant boost to the company’s activities, making AEI BROADCAST CONCEPT one of the leading players in Romania in the rental of professional sound and lighting equipment.

2004
Ampco Flashlight Holding of Holland, an important European player in the professional sound and lighting industry – and which had also built up expertise in the Romanian market in recent years – decided to become more involved in the territory, and proposed to AEI Broadcast Concept to become its local partner.
Ampco and Flashlight, both founded in the 1970’s, have been Holland’s leading companies in the sound & light rental and sales over the decades until today. Flashlight was originally involved in theatre productions, while Ampco had its clients in the live music scene. The two companies developed into very successful, full-service rental companies, offering services to live shows, corporate events, music and theatre tours.

In the 1980’s both companies also started selling and installing professional equipment. Both companies’ successes led to the presence of Ampco as well as Flashlight at almost every important event, very often as a joint venture enterprise.

The long lasting co-operation between the two companies eventually led to forming Ampco Flashlight Group on January 1st, 2002, holding business units in the fields of sales, rental, design and maintenance of professional audio & lighting equipment.

The group now holds companies in the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany, and is in close cooperation with audio and lighting companies in most other European countries. Placed under Ampco Flashlight Holding BV, which only handles administration and housing, each business unit works independently. The group offers advantages of scale, whilst the units ensure flexibility and a personal touch.

2005
The two companies decided to create a new joint-venture called Paradigma Group, creating two dedicated divisions:

- Paradigma Production – rental of audio, lighting, staging and video equipment and related services.

- Paradigma Teknik - sales of professional audio, lighting systems, truss systems equipment and AV projects.
