Since 2004, we've been hearing people talking about country life tourism development strategy in Romania. We talked assiduously about the rehabilitation and modernization of the infrastructure, about the development of the existing leisure, about ecology, about a quick and punctual intervention in order to change the philosophy towards genuine rural tourism and what should it mean and provide such tourism destinations.
Over the last 10 years I have had the chance to travel and visit the countryside, from south to north, from east to west. I had the opportunity to be the guest of many pensions and almost everywhere, I had this massive disappointment to find the same urban elements to the detriment of true peasant life forms. And I am not talking here only because of the architecture context (buildings, annexes, gardens or playgrounds) but also in the context of their natural food products.
Beginning with 2006, I had the pleasure to find the one of the greatest lovers of authentic Romanian village, His Excellency Charles, Prince of Wales, engaged and involved, constant and tenacious in changing the face of the Transylvanian village , the traditional vision of country life tourism and sustainable development of this type of tourism.
Starting with these events, more often and more consistently, foreign citizens, especially from the UK, Germany and France, bought, restored and administrate properties that they have already included into the wildlife tourism circuit map of Romania. And thus, first gleam of hope was lit in imposing the idea of genuine country life tourism.
The tourist, especially the foreign one, wishes lately, with more and more power, to find something here that he does not meet in daily life in his country. Strongly wants to meet the authentic village, unrefined and unpolluted. He wants to find the magical mountain scenery, finds countrifield wooden houses, comfortable and beautiful, which invites them over the threshold to discover the charm and perfume. He wants to find those authentic products, healthy and coming entirely from the farmer's households.
None of the tourists which I had the opportunity to meet in my across country journeys, did not feel so excited about the fact that the guesthouse looks like an urban area hotel, with striped rooms, sensational baths and extravagant outdoor pools.
Starting with 2013, I had the opportunity and good fortune to find wonderful places and pensions, well-integrated within traditional Romanian country village, where the hosts were able to welcome us with the most authentic and tasty treats of the place.
I could easily read on the guest’s faces the joy and admiration, thanks to those extraordinary experiences of living in a playful landscape of thousands of colors assorted flowers field with wooded hills and crystal streams flowing slowly, enjoying the simple country life.
And then, impressed by the beauty of the scenery, the simplicity and kindness of these people, the uniqueness of traditions, all this blend of feelings and experiences, I promised myself that I will do the best and everything I can to promote these unaltered values and to make them well-known for more visitors.
To achive this goal, I am very proud and happy to announce my availability and desire to offer my full passion of being the personal driver, guide and follower to all foreigners who wish to discover amazing places, authentic traditions, people with an extraordinary inner beauty, enjoying the pureness of Romania countryside.
